How do I back up my entries?
Go to Settings → Export backup. This saves a JSON file of all your entries to your device. You can AirDrop it to yourself, save it in Files, or store it anywhere you like. To restore, tap Settings → Import backup and pick the file.
My Face ID stopped working — how do I get back in?
If Face ID fails, the app falls back to your device passcode. Enter your device passcode to unlock. Face ID will reset automatically on the next successful unlock.
How do I restore my Pro subscription?
Go to Settings → Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID that was used for the original purchase. If the issue persists, email us and include your Apple ID (not your password).
Is my data sent anywhere?
By default, no. Everything stays on your device. The only exception is the optional Pro AI insights feature — when you choose to run an AI analysis on an entry, that entry's text is sent to our analysis service (Anthropic via a Vercel proxy) and discarded after the response is returned. I deleted the app. Are my entries gone?
Yes — if you didn't export a backup first, your entries are unrecoverable. iOS deletes the app sandbox on uninstall. Going forward, export a backup regularly via Settings → Export backup.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
Go to Settings → Manage subscription inside the app, or open your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions and cancel from there. You'll keep Pro access until the end of the billing period.
The app is crashing. What should I do?
Restart the app. If it keeps crashing, go to Settings → Send diagnostics — this creates a small log file with error details (no journal content) that you can email to us. We'll diagnose it from there.
